![]() Or you could just choose the Shockwave because the camo pattern on the Fusion is so stinking ugly.ĮTA: corrected comment that said Shockwave required a remote to run. ![]() If I didn't realize I need work-arounds for when I do dumb stuff or if walking wasn't something I intended to do a lot of, I would probably have a different setup than I currently do.įoxPro has a really helpful chart that you can consult as you consider your specific needs and choose accordingly. The thing is, what is perfect for me may not be in line with your priorities. Both are loud enough, and if you want louder (Crows or Snow Geese) you can always add an external speaker. I don't know that volume is going to vary enough between your two choices to really tip you one way or the other. As it stands, I intend to keep my current setup, keep my sounds backed up at home, and upgrade to something of similar size once my Fury 2 dies. The only reason that would happen is because I like the idea of the categories in the remote. Today the only reason I would upgrade from my Fury would be to move to the Fusion. I figure the difference in price is spitting in the bucket when I consider everything else I have wrapped up in a trip to the field, so the cheaper price didn't figure in at all. When I made my choice a couple of years ago smaller size and lack of moving parts is what made the decision for me. How you intend to carry yours and where you envision future upgrades to your equipment may be something else to consider. I currently have a Cabela's Speedy Yote Kickstand Vest on the way that will fit the Fury/Fusion, but not the Shockwave. I don't know about you, but half of my problem is that I can't get my overall lug in gear as light and non-cumbersome as I would like it to be. Since I had purchased a Fury 2, which is basically the Fusion with an older remote and no stand conditions memory, all I had to do was dial up my call numbers and deal with the inconvenience of no remote.Ģ.5 lbs for the Fusion vs 4 lbs for the Shockwave is also something you may want to consider. I was glad I chose a caller that didn't require a remote, or I would have been limited to hand calls. ![]() Early yesterday morning I made it to my first stand, 45 minutes from my home, and was just getting settled in at the edge of a field when I realized my remote was still sitting on the shelf in my living room where I had set it after changing batteries.
